The Africa Startup Ecosystem Builders Summit and Awards (ASEB) is a ground-breaking event launched in 2023 by Setup A Startup (SAS) with a clear mission. In its inaugural year, ASEB took place in Johannesburg, South Africa, drawing an impressive gathering of over 150 attendees from 36 countries. The highlight of the event was the grand awards ceremony, where 88 remarkable Ecosystem Builders across 22 categories were honored for their outstanding contributions.
This celebration showcased the entrepreneurial spirit and drive that permeates 25 African nations. Building on the resounding success of its first edition, ASEB is proud to announce Nairobi, Kenya, as the host city for its highly anticipated second edition. Nairobi, known for its vibrant entrepreneurial ecosystem and dynamic startup community, is the perfect backdrop to further elevate the spirit of ASEB.
ASEB serves as a platform to celebrate the dedication, innovation, and collaborative efforts of individuals and organizations shaping the African startup ecosystem. Through knowledge sharing, networking opportunities, and recognition of exceptional achievements, ASEB seeks to inspire and empower a new generation of entrepreneurial leaders across the African continent.
